ACTIVITIES

In the area there are lots of things to do, all that you desire. Whether you want to enjoy the surrounding nature or take a daytrip to explore the area. Irenegarden is in the center of all major Norwegian fjords attractions like Geiranger, Trollstigen, Ålesund, Briksdalsbreen, Loen Skylift, Vestkapp and many more.

We can help you with some suggestions and advise reasonable time required to complete attractions.

FISHING

If you like to fish there are lot of opportunities both from shore and from boat, and both freshwater and saltwater. Our boat which is provided as rental, can be used for fishingtrips on the fjord, and there are several good fishingspots to visit nearby.

We can supply life vests free of use and in a range of sizes, including for children.
Irenegarden is also registered as a tourist fishing company at the Directorate of Fisheries. You will find more information here.

HIKING

The area is surrounded with magical nature, and there are a lot (!) of hiking-routes to choose from. Both short and longer. The nearest mountain is "Snøhornet" at 1025 meters in height. To reach "Snøhornet" you can start the hiking directly from the front door.
The "Galten", seen in the picture, is only a 40 min drive from the farm to the starting point.

BIKING

At the farm you'll find a few bikes free to use, and in different sizes. Free to use means also that we cannot guarentie the bikes condition at all time, but we will try to do our best.

HAKALLEGARDEN

If you want to explore more of farm life, we recommend a visit to Hakallegarden, only 50 mins drive from Irenegarden.This unique farm has everything you need for you and your kids to enjoy for the whole day. Tractor driving, horse-riding and many of different animals, ready to be cuddled. The beach next to it is also worth a visit.

DAYTRIPS

Starting from Irenegarden there are plenty of nice daytrips by car to choose of.

Geiranger, Trollstigen, Ålesund, Vestkapp, Loen Skylift, Runde bird island, The Atlantic Road and many more is really worth a visit. We can help you with some suggestions and information, so please feel free to ask.
